About this model the maker, who hails from British Columbia, Canada, writes: “This guitar has a long scale, combined with very light gauge strings. Django Reinhardt himself preferred this type [by which he means the vertical oval soundhole]. The instrument’s configuration results in a crisp, singing tone. It speaks quickly and easily and responds well to a vibrato technique. String length: 670mm (26 3/8”); medium to light density tropical hardwood back and sides.”

This guitar has a Douglas fir top and Padauk back and sides, an ebony fingerboard, traditional rope maple/ rosewood purfling, a stained maple bridge, koa headplate, with Spenzel machine heads.
