Custom baritone dreadnought with 27" scale length and 13-fret body join, 1-13/16" nut width, and 2-5/16" saddle spacing. By Marc Beneteau, St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada. Fine-grain Sitka spruce top, tropical mahogany back and sides, mahogany neck. Classic (i.e., no inlays) black ebony fingerboard. Marc makes all his own bindings and purflings, and this instrument is bound in Brazilian Rosewood. Bridge is Brazilian Rosewood with compensated bone saddle and ebony bridge pins with pearl dots. Tortoise pickguard installed. Head plate and back plate are ebony; tuners are gold Gotoh 510s with black synthetic ebony knobs; script Beneteau logo inlaid in pearl. Rosette is beautifully shaded koa, and the soundhole is edged with Brazilian Rosewood. Body is standard dreadnought size, but Marc has added a Laskin armrest to the lower bass bout, with the bindings and purflings gracefully integrated into the flow of the shape. Currently tuned B-to-b, with heavy gauge bronze strings. Near mint condition, with just a few pickguard scratches. Original Canadian hard-shell case, arched top and bottom, with black exterior and dark burgundy interior.
