Bourgeois (used, 2013) OM-150 Acoustic Guitar

Tag No 32-4203 Used

#5954, Glorious Adirondack spruce top, dignified (even solemn) Brazilian rosewood back and sides, in exc plus condition, an added strap pin in the heel, with hard shell fancy pebble finish plush lined case.

One of the most beautiful guitars in our (or anybody else's) entire inventory, this one is made from:  Eastern red Adirondack spruce top, premium Brazilian rosewood back and sides, abalone rosette, ivoroid body binding, black/white/black top border with back and side purfling, multicolor herringbone back strip, square head with diamond head shape, Brazilian rosewood head veneer, Bourgeois logo head inlay, three layer ivoroid head binding, 14-fret ebony fretboard, 1 3/4" nut width, tortoise pickguard, rectangular pyramid bridge, Waverly gold plated tuners.  I can think of another guitar company who, if they made this guitar, it would have an actual street selling price after discount of around $24,000.   How does Bourgeois manage to build a guitar like this for so small a price?   We don't know - but shhhhhh -- don't tell them that we said this. . . .

The Deluxe Version of the Bourgeois Vintage OM has been patterned after their famed D-150 in its appointments, featuring Premium Brazilian rosewood back and sides and a premium Adirondack spruce top.  Elegantly appointed with an abalone rosette, ivoroid body, fretboard and headstock binding, slotted squares and diamonds inlay, and gold Waverly tuners, the OM-150 is a treasure.

One can think of the OM-150 as a smaller version of Bourgeois’ Vintage D--or maybe it's the other way around. The Orchestra Model, you see, is really where it all started. The OM-150 is a culmination of Dana's two decades of experience in repairing, restoring and building the legendary Orchestra Model. The OM is the only model in which this company scallops both sides of the X brace, as a result of its natural need for a little extra help in bottom register.

Because of its characteristic superb balance, clarity of voice, and sustaining top register, the OM was once thought of as the quintessential fingerstyle guitar. It still is. It's not surprising, however, that more than a few players have begun to realize that these same characteristics are also highly employable for a diverse variety of applications.

This guitar includes the following features: a 25.5" scale length, One piece mahogany neck, polished bone nut & saddle, ebony fretboard & bridge, high gloss body and satin neck finish, mother of pearl Bourgeois headstock inlay, Bourgeois premium tortoiseshell style pickguard, ivoroid bridge and end pins, and deluxe hard shell case.
