Caldwell (used, 2005) Grand Concert Custom Acoustic

Tag No 32-4345 Used

#K9HB050223, Engelmann Spruce top with Ziricote back and sides, in “excellent plus” condition, with the original hard shell case (with one latch in the back that doesn’t function).

Built for the 2005 Healdsburg Guitar Festival by Jimmy Caldwell, this guitar is exquisitely beautiful and unique.  The guitar has an Engelmann Spruce top with highly figured Ziricote back and sides, showing blonde streaks on the top and bottom of the center.   Double bound flamed Koa binding on the body, spalted maple soundhole rosette, clear pickguard, ebony bridge along with ebony bridge pins with abalone dots.  The ebony fingerboard has abalone dot markers on the side, low profile neck, 14 frets to the body (21 total), bone nut (and saddle) and a 1-3/4” nut width.  The headstock plate is made from rosewood and sports an abalone tear drop with an underlined “C.”  The tuners are gold plated Gotoh with ebony buttons, 25.4” scale length and 15” lower bout.

In terms of playing wear, there isn’t much – only a very small ding on the treble side of the guitar, adjacent to the pickguard.  There is a finish anomaly close to the center seam on the back (underneath the center reinforcing strip) which looks like a crack (but is not).   The guitar plays, looks and sounds great.

Our Price is $3,250.00.
