Collings (new) MF-5 Mandolin, one of their top models

Tag No 39-2999 New

#F1448, with plush lined hard shell case.

The Collings MF5 is a fully appointed F-model with a carved seasoned Red spruce top and premium maple back and sides. With its superb tone, elegant stylings and unmatched playability, the MF5 is sure to please the most discerning eyes and ears.   Also behind the ears where most of us like to get scratched.  An MF5 is definitely a reassuring pet on the top of the head along with an infinitely sincere "Gu'boy."

Its features include a select Adirondack “Red” spruce top; premium maple back, sides and neck; full high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish; grained ivoroid binding on body, neck and peghead;  black/white purflings;  22-fret radiused ebony fingerboard; adjustable truss rod; tone bar bracing; Collings adjustable ebony bridge;  inlaid Collings mother of pearl headstock logo; dot marker fingerboard inlays; polished ebony peghead overlay; a “flourish” of mother of pearl as the headplate inlay; bone nut; the Collings original one-piece tailpiece, extremely high quality open gear tuners.

This is one of the finest new mandolins made in the United States of America.  Try it even one time, for one moment, and you will want to own it forever.
