Deering (new) Boston Lefty

Tag No 83-8795 New

#9323, with hard shell, form-fitting case.

The Boston is a lighter weight alternative to the standard 3-ply maple rim and separate tone ring. The steel rim acts as a tone ring and because of that, its sustain seems to reverberate longer. Deering Company says: “We call this first model of the Deering line the Boston to acknowledge the people of Boston who produced many fine banjos in the early 20th century. The thick, steel rim, creates extraordinary volume and a sound similar to a tone ring banjo in a very affordable banjo. This rim’s powerful, bright, clear tone is ideal for both parking lot picking and in the recording studio. The exotic, sometimes brightly colorful, unstained, natural ebony fingerboard is polished smooth for fast easy fretting. We’ve carved this neck in a comfortable shape for easy reach to all of the strings and frets for pickers with all kinds of hand shapes and sizes. Close your eyes and compare this banjo to anything else in its price range. We think you’ll love it!”   The Deering List Price is $2019 but please email for your price.

Our Price is $1,595.00.
