Kraus Guitars (new) Model D Acoustic Guitar

Tag No 32-4392 New

#2015-05, with Cedar Creek hard shell case.

This guitar is made from Indian Laurel for the back and sides.    We have admired it, we have played it, and it is an extremely fine sounding, visually appealing, easy playing instrument.   It is absolutely gorgeous.   Guitars by modern makers at this level of perfection are few and far between.

William Kraus says about this model:  “This guitar is made with Indian laurel back and sides, Sitka spruce top and Ebony fingerboard, bridge, headstock veneer and bindings.  The neck is Honduran Mahogany bound with Ebony and the tuners are Gotoh 510's . The rosette center ring is Paua Abalone bordered with black/white/black fiber, as are the inner and outer rosette rings. The Indian laurel, while very similar to Indian rosewood in strength and weight, seems to lend a more even tone across the guitars tonal spectrum. The guitar features a fairly standard 25.34 scale length and measures 1-11/16" at the nut and 2-1/8 at the bridge. The fingerboard radius is 12". This guitar is housed in a Cedar Creek case.”

This is a beautiful and extremely fine sounding guitar, rich and flavorful, bursting with billowing bass and surprising clarity, pouring forth the timbre and tone that we greatly admire about Kraus guitars.
