Kraus Guitars (used, 2012) Model OM Acoustic Guitar

Tag No 32-4137 Used

#2012-04, in excellent plus condition, in East Indian rosewood back and sides and Sitka spruce top, with TKL plush lined case.

This guitar features dark brown East Indian rosewood with even grain (dark alternating with light brown) bisected on the back by a wide stripe of Hawaiian curly Koa.   Similarly, each of the sides and the fingerboard are as well crafted from exceptionally curly Koa.  The heel cap and engraft are also Koa but not as curly.   Features include:  a hand-picked Sitka spruce top that has considerable cross-silking (medullary rays) resulting in a chatoyant quality last seen in Leonardo Di Vinci's apocalyptic paintings suggesting the end of the world. The soundhole is bordered by three concentric rings of black-crème-black fiber, the middle ring of which has a beautiful abalone center.   The fingerboard is black ebony inlaid with 9 refracting abalone inlays in 8 positions; the tuners are highly accurate Gotoh Model 510 in gold plate.  The bridge saddle and the nut are bone but only the bridge saddle is compensated.  The bridge is black ebony; the headstock overlay is lightly striped ebony and features the large, intertwined, "WK" headstock logo in colorful abalone.
