Larrivee (used, 1998) J09-12 Jumbo 12-string Acoustic Electric

Tag No 32-4366 Used

#24097, with the original arched-top Larrivee hard shell case with blue interior.

This 17” Jumbo 12-string is made with East Indian Rosewood for its back and sides and, believe it or not, a cedar top.  According to information found online, the Larrivee company stopped making Jumbo sized models c.2004.  The neck is mahogany with an ebony fingerboard, bridge and bound headstock plate.  The fingerboard is bound in ivoroid with micro-dot inlays on six frets.  The body is bound on both top and back with Black/ White/ Black/ Maple and has an abalone soundhole rosette which has a halo of B/W/B/W/B purfling both inside and outside the abalone rosette.   The previous owner has added a Taylor style Tortoise pickguard and LR Baggs IBeam pickup, as well as a nickel plated strap button on the heel of the neck.
The condition of this guitar is phenomenal!  The top shows only minute signs of wear; very light indentations under the strings, light signs of pick wear on the bass side top and a slight belly under the bridge.  The back, sides and neck are clean – we do not see any signs of wear in these areas.  There is some pick wear near the soundhole (adjacent to the pickguard) which probably runs underneath the pickguard  as well.
This guitar, whose interior paper label reads “Hand Crafted in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada” is in exalted and rarified condition showing scarcely any indication that it was, in fact, held and played by mortal mankind.

Our Price is $1,750.00.
