#6264103, in excellent condition, cherry sunburst finish, form fitting original hard shell case.

This is a standard, middle of the line Weber (they were building in Logan, Montana at that time) F-style mandolin, having the conventional Florentine body shape with the two large points on the treble side and single large “ram’s horn” scroll on the upper bass bout of the face, with two smaller scrolls and a large center point on the headstock.   The headstock, fingerboard and sides are single ply bound in ivoroid.  Said ‘stock has the stylized “Weber” logo inlaid in colorful mother of pearl, and below that a Celtic Knot is inlaid.   Tuners are modern (Grover or Schaller) with relief floral design on their backplates and pearloid buttons with a nickel or chrome-plated screw.  The bridge is by Brekke, and adjustable with an Allen wrench; the tailpiece is cast with a raised “W”.   This model never had a pickguard.   As a result it shows light play wear - half a dozen dings and one scuff, in the area where the pickguard would have been.  The flame maple on the back, sides and back of neck (and also the sound) is nothing short of exquisite.

The Weber Yellowstone F is made using a solid spruce top that’s tone-bar braced, combined with curly maple back, sides and neck. The headstock veneer is ivoroid bound ebony and inlaid with a mother of pearl logo and Celtic Knot. The fingerboard is also ivoroid bound ebony. The scale length is 14”, the fretboard has a 15" radius; the fret markers are mother of pearl diamonds. The top and back are bound in ivoroid; the body being finished in the traditional Yellowstone ‘burst color in glossy lacquer. All of the hardware is nickel-plated; the truss rod is a dual action adjustable; the bridge is a Brekke traditional adjustable and the case is a shaped hard shell. The length of time you will enjoy owning this mandolin is lifetime; the sound is superlative.

This mandolin would make an excellent choice for any player – talented amateur or professional.
